Ever feel like you can't find a bike lane when you need one? Some innovators aren't waiting for cities to build bike infrastructure–they're helping cyclists mark their turf as they ride. We've already reported on the LightLane, a laser-lighted DIY bike lane  for night rides. But how about those morning commutes? The folks at Treehugger recently blogged about  Pepin Gelardi and Teresa Herrmann's Contrail (pictured), created for the Design21 Power to the Pedal competition . When a bike frame is fitted with

a Contrail device, its rear wheel leaves a colored chalk line on the road, marking the path of bike traffic.
