The Energy Information Administration ( EIA ) released its latest issue of Electric Power Monthly on Monday. In it the EIA states that non-hydro energy sources of electrical generation (biomass, wind, geothermal, and solar) increased 12.7% in the first quarter of 2009, compared with the first quarter of 2008.
