If you’re planning a western U.S. holiday, The Lodge at Sun Ranch in Cameron, Montana , is one of the newest ones in the country. The Lodge at Sun Ranch is an expansion, relocation and renaming of Sun Ranch Group’s original operation, Papoose Creek Lodge. Relocated to the ranch’s main house, the new lodge is 10,000 square feet of space and accommodation in six guest rooms and suites in the main building and two freestanding cabins and common areas including a kitchen, dining room and wine cellar. Says Lara Morris, general manager: “It was a challenge to remodel the main house into an eco-lodge but our construction crew persevered to create an environmentally friendly and beautiful place…The lodge remodel used many reclaimed and green materials and new energy saving improvements.
